Maria is a board-certified Physician Assistant who obtained her Master of Science degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. While completing her training, she published a systematic evidence-based medicine review on the effectiveness of botulinum toxin in reducing sensory symptoms in the hands of patients with Raynaud’s Phenomenon secondary to systemic sclerosis (scleroderma).
 
Maria has a special interest in autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus, Raynaud’s syndrome, sarcoidosis, and scleroderma. She aspires to educate her patients and manage their conditions with a patient-centered focus. Additionally, she strives to continue her education and stay up to date with medical research.
 
In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
